A Senior Account Manager That Loves Food?

It's a challenging role but for the right person it could mean fast track career progression in a top 100 agency.

We are looking for someone with a real passion for delivering results for clients - independently or, as part of a team. They will be able to work smartly to create and manage the delivery of imaginative, effective PR and Communications programs to delight clients and achieve the commercial objectives of the agency.

Ideally, they will bring experience of wider communications tactics, in addition to media relations.

All our clients are key players in the food, drink and hospitality industry and some previous experience in these areas is an advantage. Experience of working with business-to-business clients is essential.

Your role will involve the day-to-day ownership and management of client projects. You will be responsible for all aspects of the projects and for the liaison with the client and the management of the delivery team (including external suppliers).

To give you a flavour for the role, duties will include: -

  • Leading specific parts/projects of the account
  • Liaison with Account Director on strategic issues
  • Project management across PR and Communications
  • Running client meetings
  • Planning, reporting and invoicing
  • Proactively suggesting creative solutions
  • Writing effective, impactful copy
  • Creating and presenting persuasive proposals
  • Liaising confidently with team members, clients and the media

Ideally, they will bring an interest and understanding of wider communications tactics, in addition to media relations.

Your role will involve day-to-day client handling, project management and media relations. You will be responsible for the ongoing features process and be expected to effectively manage the delivery of your own communications projects and manage external suppliers.

To give you a flavour for the role, duties will include:-

  • Project management across PR and communications
  • Attend client meetings and reporting
  • Manage editorial features calendar
  • Use initiative and suggest creative solutions
  • Deliver well written copy
  • Build good working relationships with key media (online and printed)
  • Demonstrate an ability for proposal writing
  • Contribution in presentations to clients and new business contacts
  • Liaise confidently with team members, clients and the media

    Research published in today’s Sun may come as good news to dieters –  food could have 20 per cent fewer calories than shown on product labels. The research claims that calorie counts on labels do not factor in the energy needed to chew food, and also don’t take into account the effects of the cooking process.
