Meet the team: March

March 2021

“I particularly love the ‘Day in the Life’ features that give a glimpse into women’s working lives – I’m very nosy! I also can’t do without my Sunday Times supplements. My weekends just wouldn’t be the same without them.”

Victoria Joseph, account director

Victoria (or Vic as she likes to be called) has a decade of comms experience across consumer and b2b. She previously worked with luxury and entertainment brands but found her passion for food & drink after joining the William Murray team three years ago.

She enjoys the benefit of a full industry view – getting to work with a variety of clients from contract caterers to food manufacturers.  From project managing podcasts to executing events and delivering impactful press campaigns, no task is too much of a challenge for Vic to get her teeth stuck into.

Vic is also a committee member of Arena Futures, a hospitality networking group set up to support new people entering the industry to connect, develop and grow. In her spare time, Vic captures any opportunity to listen to her backlog of podcasts or delving into the latest Netflix crime documentary. She also fancies herself as an amateur Mary Berry who bakes at any opportunity she can!

What’s your must-read mag or paper?

I love reading Stylist magazine every week and am always gutted if I can’t get hold of one. Catered to professional women, I find it to be such a motivational magazine that also keeps me up to speed on current affairs and pop culture. I particularly love the ‘Day in the Life’ features that give a glimpse into women’s working lives – I’m very nosy! I also can’t do without my Sunday Times supplements. My weekends just wouldn’t be the same without them.

What restaurant/hotel is at the top of your bucket list?

It’s hard to pick just one, but I’d have to say Grand Hotel a Villa Feltrinelli in Lake Garda is high up there. Steeped in history and incredibly romantic, it would be my ideal setting. Not to mention the incredible food that would be on offer from two Michelin starred Chef –  Stefano Baiocco. The dream.

 Your favourite cookbook?

I have a few on the go at the moment. I Quit Sugar by Sarah Wilson and Madeleine Shaw’s Get the Glow are personal favourites that have made me obsessed with removing refined sugar from my diet. They create delicious recipes that are also healthy and nutritious showing you can do both in one! I also find myself always going back to Jamie Oliver’s 5 ingredients book as my mid-week option, by the time I get home and put my little one to bed, it’s my easiest go-to for a freshly cooked meal that is quick to make but also still tasty.

Imaginary dinner party time. Who’s invited?

Michelle Obama, Barack Obama, Marilyn Monroe, Alan Carr and Oscar Wilde.

Your top food trend prediction for the next year?

I imagine it won’t be too long before we see CBD-infused foods and snacks on the market. It seems to be a trend that has just catapulted on to the market and with the wide range of benefits reported, it’s only a matter of time. We’ve also already started to see a big push around gut health which I expect to continue with more and more products being rolled out to tackle this concern.
